As long as the earth exists- seedtime and harvest time will never cease. For everything on earth, there is time, a time to sow, and a time to reap, a time to laugh, a time to mourn. A time to study, a time to show yourself and get a reward.
Your basic qualifier is the desire and your ability to grind through the hard stuff and now is the time to get to the soft and chewy layers. Getting a job, time to cash out and reap the dividend of days, weeks, months, and even years of handwork, sleepless nights. Grinding and perseverance.
You are close to the finish line but you’re not there yet. So how do you go from a learner sitting in one corner of your room writing code to securing your dream job or breaking into the tech industry as a newbie? Before getting a job it’s important to gather some experience- this will help and improve your chance of landing that job.
Getting Experience
One of the most popular route developers go through to acquire experience is to FREELANCE. Freelancing platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, and the like have real-world jobs where you can try out and make a good impression about your ability. It is a perfect testing ground.
You can also work as a volunteer in a public project, where your focus will be the experience and the joy of trying out something new, not necessarily gratification.
Also, get yourself involved in an open-source project. Github is the perfect home for you in this regard.. Open-source projects are publicly available code that any can modify- it is great for tyros too. More importantly, it opens up opportunities for collaboration.
Never stop building; it is pertinent to keep your skill abreast, constant development is germane in this industry. You have to keep working on the project. After the experience, it will be nice to announce yourself with a portfolio.
Create your portfolio
This is a one-stop-shop where you display your work, skills, and contact, etc. Here your potential employer or client can have a glimpse into what you are capable of doing. A stand-alone platform to announce yourself. Make sure you code and add nice features to show your creativity and dexterity.
